Job Description
Position: Marketing Executive
Experience: 5-6 years in marketing higher education books
Location: (Pune/Mumbai/Nagpur/Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram/Ernakulam, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh)
Responsibilities:
- Visit academic institutes and libraries to promote our books in various disciplines and get their recommendations, adoptions and bulk orders.
- Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings.
- Establish and nurture relationships with faculties and librarians to understand their requirements and collect orders for the books.
- Collaborate with book distributors and sellers to obtain quotes and negotiate discount and payments.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and academic needs to proactively identify potential business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions during sales visits, sales activities, and feedback to report.
- Collaborate with the marketing team/e-marketing team to strategize and execute promotional campaigns targeting academic institutions whenever required.
- Achieve individual sales target and contribute to team sales targets within the designated territory.
- Acquire manuscript with high sales potential and scope.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any subject.
- 5-6 years of experience in sales or customer-interaction roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with faculties, librarians, distributors, and internal teams.
- Result-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in team.
- Familiarity with library management systems, digital repositories, and academic publishing is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to meet clients and attend relevant events.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
