S.B. BATRA, Ph.D., has been Vice-Chancellor at Bhagwant Global University, Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. Prior to that, he was a Professor in the ECE Department at MITRC, Alwar. He is a seasoned academician and professional with extensive experience in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), VLSI Design, and Digital Hardware Modelling.
Dr. Batra has also pursued advanced technical training, completing courses in VLSI Signal Processing from IIT Kharagpur, CMOS Digital VLSI Design from IIT Roorkee, and Hardware Modelling using Verilog from IIT Kharagpur.
Over the years, he has served as Principal or Director at several reputed institutions, including LIET Alwar, IIST Indore (II), AIT Ajmer, and SBMN Engineering College, Rohtak. His international academic contributions include professorial roles at Debre Brehan University and Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia.
Dr. Batra is also a former commissioned officer of the Indian Air Force, where he served in the Aeronautical Engineering branch, held command of operational units, and worked as a Senior Technical Officer in various assignments.
He has been actively teaching postgraduate students and guiding competitive exam aspirants in areas such as VLSI Design, Digital Circuits, and Digital Hardware Modelling using SystemVerilog.
