UTTARA SAHASRABUDDHE is currently Honorary Fellow at the Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS), Mumbai. Formerly, she was Professor and Head, Department of Civics and Politics, University of Mumbai. Also, she has been Honorary Visiting Professor at the Naval War College, Goa. She has a long experience of 36 years in academics, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Sahasrabuddhe has published widely, including a co-authored book in Marathi, three edited books and several research articles in reputed journals and edited volumes. Most recently, she has published two co-edited books under a project by the FINS—Grace, Glory and Gaffe: India's Defence and Security @ 75” (co-edited with Akshay Ranade, 2023) and Grace, Glory and Gaffe: India's Northeastern Region @ 75” (co-edited with Gayatri Lele, 2024).

Dr. Sahasrabuddhe has been a Member of the International Advisory Board of “GLOBE – Global Governance and the European Union: Future Trends and Scenarios”, and a member of Board of Supervisors, “Global India European Training Network”; both Horizon 2020 projects funded by the European Commission. She has delivered lectures at the Army War College, Mhow as well as the College of Air Warfare, Secunderabad. Also, she was awarded ‘Asia Fellowship’ by the Asian Scholarship Foundation, Bangkok, under which she served as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for International & Strategic Studies, Jakarta, Indonesia in 2007–2008.
