K.V. MOHANAN, Ph.D., is Professor of Genetics and Plant Breeding in the Department of Botany, University of Calicut, Kerala. He has twenty seven years of experience in teaching genetics, plant breeding and biostatistics to postgraduate students. He has also supervised many scholars for their research work.
Dr. Mohanan has published several research papers and popular science papers. He has also authored four books on various topics of biological sciences. He is on the editorial board of some important international journals and member of several academic and professional bodies. His areas of interest include genetics and breeding of tropical crops.
