D. P. Mishra, Ph.D., is a faculty member in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Dr. Mishra has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. He has taught several courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in areas of combustion, aircraft propulsion, thermodynamics, and air-breathing missile propulsion. He is actively engaged in a number of sponsored research projects and consulting works in the field of combustion and spray. Currently, he is serving as an Assistant Editor, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Elsevier, USA. Also, he has been nominated as the Editor, Asia-Pacific Conference on Combustion, 2010.
Dr. Mishra has four Indian patents and more than 144 research papers to his credit. He has been a visiting faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tokyo Denki University, Japan. He has established a combustion facility in the aerospace engineering department at IIT Kanpur. He has been conferred the INSA-JSPS Fellowship in 2002. In recognition of his research work, Dr. Mishra has been a recipient of Samanta Chandrasekhar award for his contribution to the science and technology.
