B.N. BASU, Ph.D., is currently Dean (Research), College of Engineering and Technology, Lodhipur, Moradabad and Consultant at Microwave Tube Research and Development Centre, Bangalore. Among the several important positions held by him, he has been Professor and Head of Electronics Engineering, Coordinator at the Centre of Research in Microwave Tubes, Professor In-charge of University Science and Instrumentation Centre, and AICTE Emeritus Fellow, all at Banaras Hindu University. Dr. Basu has also worked at several other institutions as a teacher/scientist, including a stint at Seoul National University as a visiting scientist.
Dr. Basu has authored a book titled Electromagnetic Theory and Applications in Beam-Wave Electronics (World Scientific, 1996) and authored/coauthored more than a hundred research papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is a recipient of the SVC Aiya Memorial Award of IETE for outstanding contributions in motivating research in the area of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
