N.K. VERMA, PhD, is Senior Professor of Physics, School of Physics and Materials Science, Thapar University, Patiala. He has also been Registrar, Dean of Students Affairs, and Head of School of Physics and Materials Science in Thapar University. With over four decades of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Verma has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has published/presented over 250 research papers in referred journals and conference proceedings. Professor Verma is also the recipient of the best paper award from the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). His research interest includes Condensed Matter Physics and Synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials.
