PRITHVI SINGH KANDHAL, Associate Director Emeritus of the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT), Auburn University, Alabama, USA. He also served as Chief Asphalt Road Engineer of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for 17 years. He has led many highway related national and international organizations. He co-authored the first ever textbook in the US on asphalt road technology. He has developed many bituminous road construction related standards for the ASTM, BIS, and the Indian Roads Congress. Kandhal received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Asphalt Road Technology from the International Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists.
