V. C. AGARWAL, PhD (Hydraulic Engineering), is currently Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Shepherd School of Engineering and Technology, SHIATS, Naini, Allahabad. Prior to retirement, he taught the subjects of fluid mechanics, fluid power and open channel flow to undergraduate and postgraduate students for over 39 years. He also held several administrative positions during his active career. His areas of research included hydraulic engineering and capsule transportation (a third-generation pipeline). He has presented/published 50 research papers in national and international conferences and journals of repute. He also developed a fluid mechanics laboratory and established many new experiments.
