About Author  SUBIR RAY, PhD (Engg) is a Professor at MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore. Previously, he had been an Advisor in GB Pant University, Pantnagar, and Head, Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Technology. He has more than 46 years of teaching experience at the UG and PG levels in the area of Power System, High Voltage Engineering, Electrical Measurements and Microprocessors. He has published several research papers in national and international journals. He is also the author of An Introduction to High Voltage Engineering (second edition) published by PHI Learning, Delhi.
