This book is designed for the undergraduate students of Agricultural Sciences for their course in Crop Production Technology-II as per the sixth Dean’s Committee Report of ICAR. The book gives a detailed information of rabi crops. The teachers, who teach these courses, will also find this book as most handy—covering all the information of a crop but limited to what can be taught and understood by the students in 22 weeks of teaching period in a semester. The teachers need not search and tag a particular portion that can be taught to undergraduate students, because the book contains precisely all such information needed by them. Each chapter contains precise, latest and readily usable information about the techniques of crop production, botanical features, varieties, nutrient and water management, weed management as well as soil and climatic requirements of each crop.
The photographic illustrations are provided for the students to understand the morphology of the crop clearly. Recent terms, concepts or advancements in each crop are highlighted in each chapter. For a group of crops, model questions and answers as well as practice questions are also given to instill the confidence among the students.
