APURVA VASHIST, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College (Affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University). With more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, she holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Recommender Systems, along with an M.Tech in Data Science. Her core teaching areas include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Data Science.

She has a strong research orientation with numerous publications in reputed Scopus–indexed journals and Springer conference proceedings. Her research interests include healthcare analytics, feature optimization, recommender systems, and predictive modelling. Dr. Vashist has actively participated in and presented papers at various national and international conferences and has delivered invited expert lectures on AI and Machine Learning at academic and administrative training institutes.

In addition to her research contributions, Dr. Vashist is also an accomplished author and has written academic books in the domain of Artificial Intelligence, aimed at supporting undergraduate and postgraduate students. The book is authored by her integrate theoretical foundations with practical insights and contemporary research developments. She has also contributed to academic leadership through key roles such as Academic Dean and holds Indian design patents.
