RABINDRANATH JANA, Ph.D. (IIT, Kharagpur), is an Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT), Haldia, Midnapur (E), W.B., India. He has about 25 years of teaching and research experience. He did his Postdoc from Artificial Muscle Research Center, Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea and Center for Advanced Materials, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tuskegee University, Alabama, USA. He worked as Deputy Manager (Mfg), Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, Haldia, India; Deputy Manager (R&D), Tuff Seals Pvt. Ltd., Jamshedpur, India; and as Polymer Technologist, Bharat Plastics, Daman, India.
Dr. Jana has received the National Awards for “Technology Innovation 2014”, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. He was an Associate Editor of the Science Jet journal of Cognizure Publishers and Review Editor of Frontiers in Polymer Chemistry journal. He has also published a book entitled, “Fundamentals of Safety, Health & Environmental Management”, 45 research papers in reputed International Journals, and more than 100 Conference papers.
